Apostille

An original or certified copy of document signed by a California public official or bearing an original notarization/seal can be apostilled. If the document is in a foreign language other than English, a certified translation may be required and notarized separately.

What To Bring To Your Appointment

Bring your documents and a valid ID to your appointment. Documents must be complete before notarization, except for the notary's seal and signature.

A valid ID is required to complete the Notary process. The ID must be current or, if expired, issued within the last 5 years and must include a photograph, signature, and serial or identifying number.

Valid forms of ID include:

  • A California state issued drivers license or ID

  • Passport - U.S. or foreign

  • Passport card

Other types of ID:

*ID must have photo, signature, signer's physical description, and a serial number to be considered a valid form of ID

  • Out of state drivers license or ID

  • Consular ID

  • Tribal ID card

  • Mexican or Canadian drivers license

* Power Of Attorney notarizations require a valid and CURRENT form of ID.
